Head In The Clouds

Chilini Private
For years she ran forward and thought that this was how those live who love the fullness of life. One morning she woke and saw that the people she had loved most were no longer beside her. The niche fragrance Head In The Clouds by Edgardio Chilini is made from that waking. The film is the thirties — England, Spain, Paris. She writes to the man whose opinion of her she valued more than she was ready to admit.
Looking back, I see that I found nothing worthy in life except our friendship.
She can still be light and tempting; she now understands the value of what she let go. The letter is written slowly. There is no justification in it. There is the admission that living apart from the world did not work, and that one person’s opinion still matters. The composition is floral, fruity, aldehydic. It wraps; it does not weigh.
The head may have been in the clouds. Now it is on the ground just enough to see who is no longer beside her. And she still writes: I love you.
What sets it apart
A retro spirit without old-fashionedness. White flowers, aldehydes, tenderness.
