Green Fig. The Woven Hammock

On the top shelf of the wardrobe in Olimpiada's room lay a rolled-up woven hammock. She had brought it to the nursery her first summer, but every evening there was work to do, and the hammock had never once been hung.
Olimpiada bred new varieties of fig and knew every tree in the nursery. From morning till evening she walked between the rows of trees with a notebook, noting which fruit ripened earlier than the rest.
In July a fierce heat arrived. In the morning Olimpiada put Green Fig on her wrists, and the green of the fig leaf sounded fresh and tart.
By noon fig, coconut milk and almond milk opened on her skin, soft and creamy. It was stuffy under the trees, but Olimpiada worked calmly all day and never once sat down in the shade.
Aristarkh, the nursery storekeeper, brought her new crates for the harvest.
"Olimpiada, you smell of our orchard, of leaves and ripe figs. Did you know there are still hooks on the two old trees at the end of the row? People used to hang a hammock there," said Aristarkh, pointing to the end of the row.
By evening fig wood and sandalwood remained, warm and soft. Olimpiada went back to her room and took the hammock down from the wardrobe.
Aristarkh helped her stretch it between the two old trees, and for the first time in three summers Olimpiada lay down to rest in the shade of the figs.
How it sounds
The opening is green and tart: fig leaf sounds fresh, with a moist herbal bitterness.
The heart is fig, coconut milk and almond milk. The soft flesh of the fig blends with the milky notes, and the green turns silky.
In the base fig wood and sandalwood give a warm soft woody trail.
What makes it special
Green Fig belongs to the Olfactorium collection. The brand says it wanted to gather in it all the best that fig-themed fragrances have to offer: the central green accord is entwined with fig shimmers, like climbing ivy. It is a fresh green unisex fragrance with a milky sweetness for spring and summer.
Kurmanova V. on chilini.ru writes: "This is a creamy, rich and juicy fig. The first notes are fig greenery, then a kind of milkiness. Beautiful."
LenaSamoylik on Fifi notes: "Behind the greenery and milk you can feel the fig in all its facets, but mostly the green one." The author of the Tastylooks blog writes: "It is enveloping, very warm. It transfers beautifully to scarves or the neck of a turtleneck."
People wear it for calm: on a hot summer day and on a long quiet evening in the garden.
