Story

Ernest played the saxophone. Every evening he came to a small music basement on the corner, sat on a chair by the wall and played the blues.

Sometimes the room was full, sometimes empty. Ernest played the same either way: quietly, low and long, as if talking to himself.

In November came a cold night. Before going on Ernest put Blues Cuir on his wrists. Bergamot, lemon, green orange and mandarin opened briefly and brightly, while lavender, basil and pepper at once added sternness.

He began the first tune. Conifer resin, cardamom, ginger, coriander, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon unfolded on his skin, while rose, violet, jasmine and lily hid deep inside.

When he finished, the owner of the basement, Vladlena, came up to him.

"Ernest, you smell of leather and spice, just like my father's cologne. I had forgotten how much I missed that scent," Vladlena said.

"Then I'll play one more. For your father," Ernest answered.

He played until closing, and Vladlena listened, leaning on the old piano.

Towards morning leather, styrax, tonka, benzoin, vetiver, patchouli, vanilla, sandalwood, white cedar, musk and oakmoss stayed on his skin, warm and deep. Ernest packed away the saxophone and stepped out into the cold dawn.

How it smells

The start is bright and stern: bergamot, lemon, green orange and mandarin sound brief, while elemi, lavender, basil and pepper quickly lead them into spicy depth.

In the heart conifer resin, resins, labdanum and leather, dry and warm. Coriander, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon bring spice, sage, pine and juniper bring conifer notes, and rose, violet, jasmine, lily and geranium sound muted.

In the base leather, styrax, opoponax, benzoin, tonka, vetiver, patchouli, vanilla, sandalwood, white cedar, a warm golden accord, musk and oakmoss leave a long, warm and slightly vintage trail.

What makes it special

Blues Cuir is now discontinued. It was created as a personal fragrance to order and later became available to everyone. It is a deep leather fragrance that opens with bright citrus and gains strength through resin and vintage notes, recalling a long-forgotten cologne of a beloved father. It is a spicy, resinous leather fragrance.

Vera0305 on Kosmetista writes: "The fragrance unfolds calmly and smoothly, without sharp changes. It is always leather, but different throughout its development."

It is worn for warm memories: on a cold night, to quiet music and on an evening alone with yourself.
