Transsilvania

Some fragrances behave like a letter written too long ago and still unfinished. Transsilvania, from the Olfactorium line, does not costume a castle and does not wear a cape. It keeps one theme: a love that does not know how to die — and keeps looking for an answer among the living, and among those who read a screen the way one reads skin.

“I crossed the oceans of time to find you.”

That is the libretto on Sergey Karov’s card. Bram Stoker’s film only lends the name. Characters can be taken off. What remains is two people in gold light — and a scent that holds them longer than memory.

Everyone is looking for their love. Having found it, they cannot get enough. Having lost it, they grow grim. Only a new love can drown that pain. That is what this picture by Sergey Karov is about.

The love here is the same — unbreakable and proud. The powers of darkness may be great; it overcomes them. Not fantasy. Not carnival. An adult fragrance.

It reads the same now: on skin, and in a digital gathering. The idea does not change with the wearer. What changes is who is listening.
