She is natural and free, with a lively, restless character.
On the window of the aquarium ticket booth, on the inside, right under the glass, hung a sailing-school leaflet. Taisa had stuck it there last summer and had seen it every day since, while selling tickets.
This was her fifth year in the booth. The sea was a stone's throw away, beyond the promenade, but Taisa knew it mostly from the tanks behind her back and from the tourists who came in already tanned.
On the first hot day of June she put Aventure on her wrists. Grapefruit and sea water sounded fresh and tart, pear added a juicy sweetness, and Taisa felt as if the wind from the promenade were blowing straight through the little window.
By noon jasmine and osmanthus had opened on her skin, tender and warm. During her break Taisa read the leaflet all the way through for the first time: enrolment for the group closed that Friday.
Arkady, the keeper who fed the rays and usually walked past the booth in silence, stopped at the window.
"Taisa, you smell like a summer garden by the sea today. As if you were already on holiday," said Arkady. Taisa laughed and admitted she was thinking about the sailing course. Arkady shrugged: "Then go. The rays can wait."
By evening white cedar and musk remained on her skin, soft and calm. Taisa closed the booth, counted the takings and was in no hurry to go home.
Before leaving she carefully peeled the leaflet off the glass, folded it in four and walked along the promenade to the yacht club while its lights were still on.
How it sounds
The opening is fresh and juicy: grapefruit, bergamot and mandarin give a bright tartness, sea water adds salty air, and pear, melon, green apple, peach and apricot make the start fruity and sweet.
At the heart a large bouquet opens: jasmine, osmanthus, lily, magnolia and roses sound tender and light, cyclamen and iris add coolness, pink pepper and cinnamon a light spice, and heliotrope and coconut a soft sweetness.
In the base white cedar and sandalwood give warm wood, oakmoss and vetiver green depth, and musk, amber and vanilla leave a soft, calm trail.
What makes it special
Aventure belongs to the Olfactorium collection. Its name means adventure, and the brand dedicates it to a woman who is natural and free, lively and restless, freedom-loving, independent and sentimental. Its natural shades recall the fullness of life and our bond with nature. It is a unisex floral fruity fragrance for spring and summer.
Freddie on Kosmetista describes it as "a tender floral fragrance, a little sharp with its tartness at the start, that opens with floral notes of jasmine, lily, osmanthus, rose, pink pepper" and adds: "It will be right for travel, for a holiday."
Kim-san on Fragrantica hears in it "the scent of broken green juicy stems, slightly sweetish. From memory, a passionflower also comes to mind."
People wear it for lightness: on a trip, on holiday, and on the day they finally want to go for something long planned.
