Sublime Lavender. The Silk Scarf

All spring Glafira wove a lavender-coloured silk scarf on her loom. It was a gift for her godmother, Lukerya, who lived on the other side of the mountains and celebrated her birthday in June.
On the festive morning Glafira folded the scarf, draped it over her shoulders so it would not crease in a bag, and put Sublime Lavender on her wrists. Mandarin sounded bright and sunny, and lavandin at once added a fresh herbal note.
Glafira got into her old convertible, lowered the top and drove out onto the winding mountain road. The wind tugged at the edges of the scarf, and the scent flew after the car all the way.
Halfway there lavender, gardenia and orchid opened on her skin, soft and bright. Glafira stopped at a viewpoint to look at the blue peaks.
Kuzma, a blacksmith who lived at the foot of the mountains, was resting there. He caught the scent of lavender and turned around.
"Where does lavender come from up here? Nobody grows it below," Kuzma wondered.
"It's the scarf and me," Glafira smiled. "I'm taking a gift to my godmother."
Kuzma showed her a short road across the mountains, and Glafira drove on.
By evening, as she pulled up to Lukerya's house, sandalwood, vanilla, woody notes and musk remained on her skin, warm and calm. Lukerya unfolded the scarf, and a quiet scent of lavender still lingered in it.
How it sounds
The opening is bright and fresh: mandarin sounds sunny, and lavandin adds herbal coolness.
In the heart lavender leads, living and clean. Gardenia and orchid lie beside it as soft flowers and give it volume without drawing attention away.
In the base creamy sandalwood, vanilla, woody notes and musk warm the lavender and leave a quiet, cosy trail.
