Resurgam. Mist over the Fields
personal fragrance
Story
Nikon ran marathons. A year earlier he had badly injured his knee, and for a long time the doctors would not promise he would run a race again. All year he learned to walk again, then to run laps of the stadium, then five kilometres at a time.
In September he signed up for a race along country roads outside town.
At dawn Nikon put Resurgam on his wrists. [An emerald wormwood coolness], cantaloupe, blackcurrant leaves, lemon, mandarin, green orange, basil, bergamot, galbanum, petitgrain, rosemary, sage, lime, green cardamom, star anise and blue mint opened fresh and lively.
The start was given in mist over the fields. The first kilometres were hard, but halfway his second wind came, and it grew easy even though it was hard. Violet, fig leaf, lavender, geranium, nutmeg, clove, white lily, cinnamon, jasmine, rose, cypress, ginger, juniper berries, pink pepper and magnolia unfolded on his skin, spicy and warm.
At the finish his doctor Fekla, who had guided his recovery all year, was waiting.
Nikon, you smell of herbs and honey, as fresh as this morning. You ran the whole distance and you're smiling," Fekla said.
I promised myself I'd rise again. And so I have," Nikon answered.
By evening tonka bean, mastic, honey, sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, white cedar, oakmoss, musk and a warm golden accord stayed on his skin, warm and reliable.
How it smells
The start is fresh and lively: lemon, mandarin, bergamot, lime and petitgrain sound bright, basil, rosemary, sage, galbanum, currant leaves and blue mint give a herbal coolness, cantaloupe juiciness, and cardamom and star anise a spicy spark.
In the heart violet, fig leaf, lavender and geranium sound green and soft, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and pink pepper warm, and white lily, jasmine, rose and magnolia give floral light.
In the base tonka bean, mastic, honey, sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, white cedar, oakmoss, musk and a warm golden accord leave a warm, reliable trail.
What makes it special
Resurgam was created as a personal fragrance to order. Its name translates as "I will rise again". The fragrance helps restore strength when it seems to be running out and opens a second wind. With it any difficulty is manageable: easy, even when it is hard. It is a fresh herbal spicy fragrance.
It is worn for new strength: at the start of a new path, on a hard day and whenever a second wind is needed.
