Story
Severyan translated Italian poetry. By day he was a quiet intellectual in glasses, but every February he went to the Venice carnival and became a different man there: eloquent, charming, irresistible.
That year he was invited to a ball in an old palazzo on the Grand Canal.
In the evening Severyan put Night on his wrists. Ginger, lavender, peach, bergamot, mahogany, Sicilian mandarin, rosewood, coriander, rosemary, neroli and petitgrain opened bright and confident.
He put on a long cloak and a white mask and stepped out onto the balcony above the canal. Gondolas with lanterns glided below. Gardenia, white freesia, jasmine, anise, pepper, galbanum, clary sage, geranium, clove, cinnamon, Damask rose and coconut unfolded on his skin, warm and spicy.
A lady in a golden mask came up to him.
Who are you? You smell of spices and leather, like the hero of an old novel. Confess, are you Casanova himself?" Isabella whispered.
Tonight is a night when one can be anyone. Let me read you some poetry instead," Severyan answered and recited a sonnet to her in Italian.
They danced until dawn, and until dawn she never learned his name.
Towards morning leather, patchouli, sandalwood, tonka bean, musk, benzoin, oakmoss, vanilla, dry warm notes, vetiver, white cedar and a warm golden accord stayed on his skin, deep and noble.
How it smells
The start is bright and confident: bergamot, Sicilian mandarin, neroli and petitgrain sound fresh, ginger, coriander, lavender and rosemary add a spicy coolness, peach juiciness, and mahogany and rosewood a warm woodiness.
In the heart gardenia, white freesia, jasmine and Damask rose sound luxurious, anise, pepper, clove and cinnamon flare with spice, clary sage, galbanum and geranium add greenery, and coconut softness.
In the base leather, patchouli, sandalwood, tonka bean, benzoin, vanilla, vetiver, white cedar, oakmoss, musk and dry warm notes leave a deep, noble trail.
What makes it special
Night was created as a personal fragrance to order, and its image is inspired by Giacomo Casanova: an intellectual with a stormy temperament, a living legend on a balcony in a Venetian mask and a long cloak. The fragrance adds confidence, eloquence and a unique charm. It demands a special mood and does not tolerate the everyday: it is worn for an evening that should be remembered. It is an oriental woody fragrance.
