Lemon Sorbet. The Shard of Yellow Glass

Lemon has never been so many-sided.
At the bottom of the toolbox, among glass cutters and putty knives, lay a shard of yellow glass. Miron had kept it from his first job, a stained-glass window in the stairwell of an old building, and now and then he took it out to look through it at the light.
The spring had been rainy. Orders came one after another, but Miron worked gloomily and in silence, and could not remember when he had last looked through the yellow glass.
On a May morning he put Lemon Sorbet on his wrists. Bergamot and mint sounded fresh and ringing, green tea added transparency, and the clouds over the town seemed thinner to Miron.
By noon lemon, lemon balm and basil had opened on his skin, sunny and slightly spicy. Miron was fitting new panes into the veranda of a nursery school, and sunbeams danced on the walls while the children chased them, squealing.
The teacher Olga Petrovna brought the children out for their walk. She stopped by the veranda and smiled.
"It smells of lemon and summer here. As if someone had spilled lemonade," laughed Olga Petrovna. For the first time that spring Miron laughed back and sent a flash of sunlight off a pane straight into the children's sandpit.
By evening lemon wood, cedar and musk remained on his skin, warm and calm. Miron went back to the workshop and opened his toolbox.
He took out the yellow shard, drilled a small hole in it and hung it on a thread in the workshop window, so that in the mornings it would cast a sunny patch on the wall.
How it sounds
The opening is fresh and ringing: bergamot, mandarin and grapefruit give a citrus spark, mint and green tea coolness, cardamom a light spice, and bamboo green freshness.
At the heart is the main theme, lemon: sunny, slightly sweet. Lemon balm and lemongrass support it, basil, sage and coriander add spice, pineapple and papaya a soft juiciness, and neroli, magnolia, jasmine and lily of the valley a light floral note.
In the base lemon wood and cedar give a dry woody sound, vetiver and oakmoss green depth, and sandalwood, amber and musk leave a warm, soft trail.
What makes it special
Lemon Sorbet belongs to the Olfactorium collection and the sorbet series. It is a citrus composition built on fantasies of the freshness, spice and brightness of the yellow fruit: lemon sounds many-sided in it, together with citrus, spices and greenery. It is a fresh citrus woody unisex fragrance for spring and summer.
@sunshineladyvera on Telegram writes: "It is a warm, sunny, even sweetish lemon" and adds: "It feels as if sunbeams are chasing you."
Ekaterina35 on Fragrantica notes: "A very interesting combination of freshness and citrus." Izabo Buatett on Aromo writes: "The fragrance calms and clears the mind!"
