Story
Guriy played the drums. He was loud and fast and rehearsed in the evenings. Behind the wall lived Elvira: she compiled crosswords for newspapers and valued silence above everything.
For six months they waged war with notes in the mailboxes.
On a May evening Elvira put Different People on her wrists. Rosemary, pineapple, neroli, bergamot, lemon, mandarin, orange, lime, marine accord and peach opened fresh and light.
The drums thundered behind the wall again. Elvira went to complain, but on the stairs she ran into Guriy: he was bringing her a box of chocolates and an offer of peace. Jasmine, violet, hyacinth, rose, freesia, saffron, cyclamen, coriander, cardamom and nutmeg unfolded on her skin, many-sided and warm.
They talked on the stairs for an hour. It turned out Guriy adored crosswords, and Elvira had dreamed of playing drums when she was young.
Elvira, you smell of neroli and saffron at once, fresh and spicy. We're completely different, yet we seem to sound in one rhythm," Guriy said.
Then rehearse until nine, and I'll make you a crossword about drums," Elvira answered.
Since then they solved crosswords together on Sundays to the quiet tapping of sticks.
By night vetiver, cedar, musk, patchouli, oakmoss, sandalwood, tonka bean and a warm golden accord stayed on her skin, soft and warm.
How it smells
The start is fresh and light: rosemary and neroli sound green and bright, bergamot, lemon, mandarin, orange and lime give a citrus play, the marine accord coolness, and pineapple and peach juiciness.
In the heart jasmine, violet, hyacinth, rose, freesia, cyclamen and reseda form a many-sided bouquet, while saffron, coriander, cardamom, nutmeg and rosewood add spice.
In the base vetiver, cedar, patchouli, oakmoss, sandalwood, tonka bean, musk and a warm golden accord leave a soft, warm trail.
