Boudoir Blanc. The Lace Curtain

On the lace pillow by the window lay a white lace curtain. Ariadna had been making it all winter with bobbins: the pattern had peonies, apple branches and birds, and only the last corner was missing.
Ariadna was a lacemaker and had made lace since childhood. In the city she lacked quiet, so in spring she came to a small mountain guesthouse to finish the curtain in peace.
The room in the guesthouse was all white: light walls, pastel tones and a large bed under a light canopy. On the first morning Ariadna woke to the sun, lay for a long time in the soft down featherbed, as if in a cloud, and thought that a new, light and happy day was beginning.
She put Boudoir Blanc on her wrists. Red apple, blackberry, grapefruit, mandarin and lychee sounded fresh and juicy, like a spring morning.
Ariadna sat by the window and took up her bobbins. By noon peony, jasmine and rose had opened on her skin, while clove and soft suede made the flowers deeper.
Evlampiya, the guesthouse owner, knocked at the door with breakfast.
"Ariadna, it smells of peonies in here, as if a garden had bloomed right in the room. How is your lace?" Evlampiya asked.
"One corner left," Ariadna smiled. "I'll finish by evening."
By evening the curtain was ready. Patchouli, vetiver, ambergris and white musk remained on her skin, soft and clean. Ariadna took the lace off the pillow and hung it in the window, and shadows of peonies played on the walls of the white room.

The opening is fresh and fruity: red apple, blackberry, grapefruit, mandarin and lychee sound juicy and bright.
In the heart peony opens, tender and fresh. Jasmine and rose make the bouquet lusher, clove adds a light spice, and suede softness.
In the base patchouli, vetiver, ambergris and white musk leave a clean, soft and luminous trail.
