The boy escapes into the male world, into masculinity, into power. The availability of this choice for him is due to the social assessment of his anatomy. Today it is the only way of salvation, indicated on the map, in order not to remain in the status of a child. The boy must build a male identity - a castle with blank walls and an impassable moat.

 

Whatever his chosen style of expression, the boy becomes belligerent in his masculinity, fierce, stubborn, inert, immune to humor. His fear of men turns to aggression towards women. He keeps women at an insurmountable distance. He learns to be a man, and the first rule of masculinity says that whoever he is, women cannot be this. Men become apologists of what they fear most in the world. Confessing violence, they overcome their fear of it.

Overcoming fear, they gain a sense of freedom. Some men will use language, money, religion, science, or authority as an instrument of violence. Men are distinguished from women by their willingness to commit violence in order not to become its victims. Men renounce everything that they have in common with women, so as not to have any community with them.
